For the famous Tango scene in the movie, Al Pacino prepared by taking intensive tango lessons at Dance Sport dance studio in Manhattan. It took 4 days to film that sequence in the dancesport studio.
The tango heard in the movie Scent of a Woman is Por Una Cabeza by Carlos Gardel. The Tango "Por Una Cabeza" features also in scenes in the movies Schindler’s List and True Lies.
