i Bajofondo Tango Club, gruppo argentino di tango che coniuga la nobile tradizione del genere con i ritmi delle ultime tendenze in ambito elettronico.Gustavo Santaolalla, leader e produttore del gruppo, è reduce dalla recente vittoria del premio Oscar per la miglior colonna sonora originale per il film I Segreti di Brokeback Mountain.

I Bajofondo Tango Club sono una realtà assolutamente originale all’interno del panorama musicale perchè alfiere del “latine alternative”, vale a dire un sound capace di fondere il mondo della musica elettronica strumentale con le sonorità del tradizionale tango, uno dei balli più sensuali della tradizione mondiale, senza così mai perdere di vista la propria identità latina.



Grazie anche a collaborazioni con grandi artisti come Jorge Drexler e Varela, il fenomeno Bajofondo Tango Club è esploso nel 2003 in Argentina e in America Latina, e nel 2004 è arrivato in Europa ottenendo un grande riscontro e un grande successo di pubblico con le loro performance all’avanguardia: guidati da Gustavo Santaolalla Campodónico e la vj Veronica, Bajofondo Tango Club punta sulla musica, la danza e le immagini video create e proiettate in tempo reale con risultati suggestivi e sorprendenti. E’ del 2003 il cd “Bajofondo Tango Club”, vincitore del Premio Gardel in Argentina e del Latin Grammy come miglior album pop.

Dating back to 2003, the cd “Bajofondo Tango Club” is the winner of the Gardel Price in Argentina and of the Latin Grammy as the best pop lp.
