Nuevo Tango Ensamble

Il gruppo musicale NUEVO TANGO ENSAMBLE, formatosi nel 1999, nasce da un’idea del pianista P. Stafano e del bandoneonista G. Iorio con l’intento di proporre i caldi e sensuali brani del grande compositore argentino ASTOR PIAZZOLLA.

Il Nuevo Tango Ensamble si è accostato alle composizioni di Astor Piazzolla con ammirazione profonda, intraprendendo uno studio meticoloso mirato ad interpretare il complesso fraseggio e il giusto “sound porteno” che caratterizzano questa musica.

Tale processo ha suscitato nel gruppo un crescente interesse che è diventato ben presto passione profonda alimentata anche da un lusinghiero riscontro di pubblico.

Il Nuevo Tango Ensamble, con il progetto "A night for Astor" si è esibito in tutta Europa con concerti tenuti presso prestigiosi Teatri e Jazz Club in Festival e Rassegne Concertistiche.

Il trio collabora con jazzisti di fama internazionale come il sassofonista Javier Girotto e il clarinettista Gabriele Mirabassi

Ha inciso nel 2001 il primo CD intitolato "ASTOR'S MOOD", pubblicato nel luglio 2002 dall’etichetta classica REALSOUND.

Nel luglio 2005 è stato pubblicato un nuovo CD registrato dal vivo al Porgy & Bess jazz club di Vienna ed intitolato “A night in Vienna for Astor Piazzolla”. L'album è stato prodotto dalla prestigiosa etichetta jazz PHILOLOGY.

The NUEVO Tango ENSAMBLE musical group, was founded in 1999 by Pasquale Stafano’s and Gianni Iorio’s idea with the intent to propose the ASTOR PIAZZOLLA’s warm and sensual rythm.
The group has approached Astor Piazzolla’s compositions with deep admiration, undertaking a meticulous study aimed to interpret the complex music phrases and the correct sound porteño that characterize this music.
Such experience has raised in the group an increasing interest that has quickly become a deep passion, fed by a flattering public confirmation.
With the project "A night for Astor", Nuevo Tango Ensamble exhibited in Europe with concerts which took place at prestigious Theaters and Jazz Club in Festival and Reviews.

The group collaborates with international jazz players like Javier Girotto who plays the saxophone and Gabriele Mirabassi who plays the clarinet
In 2001 it recorded the first CD "ASTOR'S MOOD", released on July 2002 by the classical label REALSOUND.

In July 2005, "A night in Vienna for Astor Piazzolla.", a live CD released by the Porgy & Bess jazz club in Vienna. The album was produced by the prestigious jazz label PHILOLOGY.
